A New Sister Co-op
We have started the construction of our new co-op in Pontiac, Michigan.
Colony Lane Co-op will be a three-story building offering 77 units in a residential neighborhood within walking distance to nearby retail establishments.
The community will feature a centralized laundry room, common area balconies, lounges, library, computer center, exercise room, gated parking and secured entry.
Applicants eligible to live at Colony Lane must meet income guidelines established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and one household member must be age at least 62 at the time of initial application.
Applicants on the waitlist will have the opportunity to vote on décor decisions within the apartments and common areas of the building, as well as vote on the co-op’s name while the building is being constructed. We are currently holding monthly meetings with the waitlisted applicants and other interested persons every 3rd Thursday of the month at the Bowens Senior Citizen Center in Pontiac.
Colony Lane will be opening its doors in the fall of 2014.

What is a Service Coordinator? category: Current Members
Service coordinators assist seniors, individuals with special needs and low-income families residing in affordable housing. Service coordinators assist senior residents in identifying, locating and acquiring the services necessary for them to remain self-reliant and age in place in their own homes. Service coordinators provide assistance and access to community-based supports and resources for low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence.
Many of our co-ops have on-site service coordinator to assist our members and the community. Please contact CSI’s office for more information.
